The expert went to examine the nest and found it was not a hornet's nest. It was a fake one and hidden behind it was a medical kit with surgery tools and a large journal. Why do you think this was hidden in the attic?

When going through the journal the man discovered that the man who had lived in the house was a doctor. He had lived in there during the Nazi occupation of the village in WWll. It turns out that he was part of the local Resistance Movement and used his tools to operate on wounded agents, allied troops who had crashed in the area etc. He had hidden them in the fake hornet's nest. Do you think this is a very clever idea?

What is really funny is the doctor was the one that spread the story that the hornets in the area were very vicious and dangerous. He treated a couple of Nazi officers for hornet bites. They had been looking for resisters in the woods so the doctor them the lie that the hornets were especially vicious and they should tell their men. In the meantime the doctor was hanging fake hornet's nests filled with medical supplies through the woods especially where they would hide resisters and allied soldiers. The soldiers were afraid to go into the woods as a result. Do you find this as funny as I do?

This doctor and the other villagers saved hundred of lives right under the Nazi's noses. But memories are long and to this day this village has a reputation for having the most vicious hornets in the area even though they are just ordinary hornets. I think this is an amazing story. Do you?
